Holga Field Images
These images are from a limited edition 2009 calendar with a series of images about the coastline area of Dun Laoghaire, Sandycove and Dalkey in County Dublin, Ireland. The photographs were taken using the Holga 120 camera, a medium format film camera with a plastic body and lens. It was first manufactured in 1982 in China and was intended as an inexpensive mass-market camera for people to record everyday family portraits and events. The camera’s lo-fi construction allows for interesting qualities within the images it captures, including vignetting and light leaks.
